There are a lot of opinions about school closures, but this one fact is indisputable: HSE Schools were the LAST to return to in-person learning in Hamilton County and schools under an authority of the Fishers Health Department offered FEWER in-person learning options for our children. It is NOT a coincidence that Hamilton Southeastern Schools was the only school system to have its Mayor and an inexperienced City Health Department immediately get heavily involved with the School board in all matters related to opening/closing schools. For months the school board and the Mayor blamed each other for the closures. There is a public history of how this unfolded and ended in the tragic loss of education to Fishers children. More documentation to come.
